Ooh how similar ! I too did the Bradley method for my first birth. I really needed I’ve chips though and that’s what I remember most from my dear husband 😆 .

She's a hero. I know. All four of mine without so much as an aspirin until after delivery. I think I had a rather similar attitude as well. She's the best!

We had a Bradley birth in 1986. We also had an amazing Bradley teacher. One of the doctors in the practice( not mine )asked if I was going to squat in the corner and eat my placenta. Another one told me that most women in Savannah get to 5 cm and scream for an epidural, but I could give it a try.😠I had back labor for 36 hours and stayed home until the very end. When I walked into the labor room, my water broke, and when they put me in the bed, one of the nurses said “This one’s completely dilated!” It’s been 40 years and it was one of the most momentous things that my husband and I ever did together. A year later, Matt and I became certified Bradley teachers and taught over 100 couples in the Savannah area. I also got to meet Dr. Bradley in person. I did all the things……. the family bed, nursed till she was three, and homeschooled her and our other two children that we adopted a few years later. I am deeply and forever grateful to Dr. Robert Bradley and his method of Husband- Coached Childbirth.

PS- Almost all of my nurse friends that were pregnant at the same time had C-Sections.
