Thx so much for sharing this and it was indeed well-timed. I work for American Airlines (DFW on that day) & have been quite reflective today. Was one of the strangest days of my career.

What touched me most is the idea that something already judged obsolete could still be exactly what was needed when everything changed.

The Harvey becomes more than a fireboat here. Its old machinery, the people who refused to give up on it, and the family that formed around it all came together at the moment they mattered most. That gives the story a real emotional weight.
