For the last 20 years, I’ve (miraculously) made a living writing TV and film.
I’ve written on a critically-acclaimed Netflix series and on ridiculous kids shows. I’ve written serious films and seriously dumb ones. I’ve crafted biopics on famous rock stars and forgotten heroes. I even won a cool award via Sir Patrick Stewart.
In between all that I traveled the world following Tiger Woods for the book Follow the Roar and took aim at the world of politics with the satirical novel Don’t Mess with Travis.
And in late 2024 I started Silver Cord Stories because I had original short stories to tell and nowhere to tell them.
(Sidenote: The “silver cord” is a metaphor for that beautiful but fragile thing we call life.)
My hope was that everything I wrote here, no matter the tone, would ring a bell in your soul and help you see what matters… and what doesn’t. It has been a fun adventure and, nine months in, I’ve built a suprisingly tall stack of things I’m proud of:
If you want to laugh, go read Pastor Bryce’s Tattoo.
If you want to cry, read Happy Nail or Long Legs.
If historical fiction’s your thing, go with The God Machine.
And if you want a perfect body, obviously read Abs.
I’ve written so much that I can now OFFICIALLY announce that all these stories—plus new ones—will be published later this year in The Silver Cord: A Compilation.
As a FREE SUBSCRIBER, you will receive a discount on any copies you purchase.
And if you upgrade to a PAID SUBSCRIBER, I’ll send you a free autographed copy as a special thank you.
I’m just trying to make Sir Patrick proud.
Thanks and keep reading.
